What made you say “Yes!” to bunq as an intern?
“Back in 2018, I worked on a university marketing project related to bunq, and immediately connected with their vibe and values. Two years later, I applied to do my Master’s thesis here.”

Any unexpected “aha!” moments in those first few months?
“It was both challenging and fun—I had the chance to visit Google’s office in Amsterdam and TikTok’s in London while managing a significant part of our marketing budget. That’s when I realized no other company would offer opportunities like this at 23–24 years old. It was a true ‘aha’ moment that made me love the experience from the start.”

How did bunq help you go from intern to marketing pro?
“The process was very smooth—targets were clear, and it was up to me to put in the work if I wanted to stay. Staying with bunq for the next few years felt natural, allowing me to build a solid understanding of marketing across various channels.”

What’s the coolest project you’ve owned so far?
“One of the most rewarding experiences has been increasing brand awareness in a few of our core countries. Breaking into a new market is tough, and I remember how challenging it was with one particular country four years ago. Now, seeing that market grow and become one of our strongest is incredibly reassuring—it shows we’re on the right track as a company and team.”

Who’s been your biggest cheerleader at bunq?
“My biggest cheerleaders are my colleagues—most of whom have become close friends. But Camila has been my ultimate warrior and strongest support. Love you, chica!”

What’s one skill you’ve nailed that you never expected?
“Working in finance sparked my love for money conversations and shaped my view on financial freedom. I’ve developed a strong habit of organizing my personal finances, approaching wealth-building with the same mindset as a marketing growth model.”

What’s your next professional step at bunq?
“My ultimate goal over the next few years is to step into a lead role.”
