What exactly is the Dutch Switch Service?
As a collaboration between Dutch banks, the Dutch Switch Service allows all of your incoming payments and direct debits to be automatically forwarded to your bunq account.
How do I make the switch?
All you have to do is request a switch in the bunq app and we’ll take care of the rest 💪. Simply go to Profile > Dutch Switch Service and tap Request Switch Service.
What exactly happens during the 13 months the Dutch Switch Service is activated?
During the 13 months the Dutch Switch Service is activated, all incoming payments to your other bank account will be forwarded to your bunq account. The same goes for direct debits. All direct debits from your other bank account will be forwarded to your bunq account. Once a new direct debit has been made with a company, we will automatically provide them with your bunq IBAN. This company will then replace the IBAN on file so that all future payments will be sent to your bunq IBAN directly.
Can I cancel the Dutch Switch Service?
If you wish to cancel your Dutch Switch Service after it has already been accepted, please contact us from the app via Ask Privately. Please be aware that a cancellation will cost €129.63 due to mandatory processing.
