We asked Iris, the founder of the sustainable fashion platform Renoon, to tell us what she thinks we can do to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle (aside from having a sustainable bank account of course!). Let’s hear her out! 🙌

“Whether you are an entrepreneur, freelancer, human being, you know what’s happening right now. It feels quite surreal to be living in this moment in history.

Seeing nature doing slightly better without all the traveling, consumption and crowds, many of us are rethinking how to upgrade to that third gear and accelerate our efforts in sustainability.

With each and everyone’s appetite to bring back values and intentions to make the world better than ever, where can we go to turn intentions into actions?

About a year and a half ago I was searching for a sustainable black cocktail dress and I had such a hard time finding it 👗

And if you’ve ever tried something similar, you might know the pain. “First world problems”, you may think.

But actually, it’s quite an issue: fashion is one of the most polluting industries in the world. And you might think you are doing great by putting your trash in the right places and choosing great food alternatives - which has become easier and easier with bio and plant-based options - but what can you do with your clothes and the rest of your consumption?

Two I can name for sure are Renoon and bunq. The first one is the startup I had the luck to co-found and I am so proud of what our entire team has achieved in such little time. Second, our very best friends at bunq - who saved our startup travels and time, every time.
