In this quick guide, we'll show you how to use the Activities tab in the bunq app. We'll also give you a few tips on how to make the most of it, including tips on how to effortlessly leave useful reviews and keep track of group expenses in the meantime, all while building the amazing bunq community and enjoying some delicious food in the process!
Where to Find Great Restaurant Reviews
We've all been there. You're planning for a friend's birthday party or the first date with your new Bumble match. But, where should you go to eat?
There are numerous great places online where you can find new places to eat for any event. Here are a few of our favorites.
TripAdvisor
TripAdvisor has a database of over 988 million reviews, covering more than 8 million businesses. TripAdvisor also provides a forum where you can ask questions and get advice from other travelers if you have questions after reading a restaurant review. In addition, TripAdvisor offers a mobile app, which you can use to find restaurants and reviews while on the go.
Yelp
Yelp allows users to rate restaurants on a five-star scale, and provides an opportunity for them to write detailed reviews. They also use a few algorithms to highlight the most relevant and useful reviews for each restaurant. When searching for restaurants on Yelp, you can filter results by rating, price, cuisine, and more, making it easy to find exactly what you're looking for.
Zomato
Zomato covers a wide range of cuisines and establishments, from fast food to five-star restaurants. To find restaurant reviews on Zomato, simply enter your location and search for the type of food you're looking for. Zomato will then provide you with a list of restaurants in the area, along with user-generated reviews and ratings.
The Fork
The Fork has a database of well over 50,000 restaurants, and users can search for reviews by location, cuisine, or price range. The Fork also allows users to write their reviews, and these are often useful for getting an unbiased opinion about a restaurant. The site is easy to use and helps you reserve a table when you've made your choice.

Yes, you read that right. bunq doesn’t have lengthy reviews or intricate rating systems for restaurants to visit. Instead we thought of a way to make it much, much easier to find the best places in town through the people you trust the most: your friends!
Use bunq’s Activities tab to find the place to be!
Under the Activities tab on the bunq app, you can instantly see all the places recommended by your friends and recommend your favorite places. Simply tap on any place on the map and you can see the places your friends think you’ll like as well. So next time you’re visiting a new city or just looking for a good place close to home, head to the Activities tab in the bunq app for inspiration!
Review a Restaurant
In addition to seeing the places your friends recommended to you, you can also review the restaurants you visited. The more places you visit, the more restaurants you can recommend. This means that next time you go bar hopping with friends and need to find new places to eat after the bar, you can simply open bunq and view your What's Happening pop-up.
If you and your friends have been keeping track of places you visit, you can check out a quick rating of something nearby on the map and see if it's worth checking out.
Track Group Expenses
Finally, the greatest part about this tab is the ability to track group expenses. Whether you're traveling on a stag trip to Budapest or are heading out for drinks in Amsterdam, bunq makes it easy to track expenses and collect payments.
After all, no one wants to be the person who is always keeping track of who paid for what and trying to figure out how to split the bill evenly. That's where Group Expenses come in!
With this feature of the bunq app, you can track group expenses and split the bill automatically. Simply follow these easy steps:
Click on the Activities tab
Scroll and select the Start Tracking Group Expenses option
Choose the friends you want to add to the group
Personalize all of the group expenses
That's it! We'll do the rest in terms of calculating and collecting who owes what.
