6 ways mindfulness can help you and your business grow

January 20, 2021

Moreover, mindfulness can actually be of great help for your business too. After all, if you’re at your best and can focus your time on what matters, your business will also bloom!

To find out more, we’ve invited blogger Kristin Herman as a guest writer. Check out these tips she shared with us!

You may think it’s hard to just stop and take a breather. That’s why active mindfulness is essential in your everyday life to help you relax and be the best version of yourself. Here are 6 ways you can implement mindfulness in your life today:

1) The power of breaks 🧘

“There are plenty of times when the body needs rest,” says Kai Waddell, a business writer at State of writing. “And it’s during those times that you need to let go and reflect on your day thus far. When you stop to take a break from whatever you’re doing, it allows your mind to open up and channel calmness and creativity. Then, once you’re ‘recharged,’ you can go back to your work in a stronger and more mindful manner.”

2) The power of listening 👂

Mindful listening is more than hearing. Rather, it’s about taking the time to actually listen. While many people are busy with their day-to-day work and routines, others crave the quiet. While many people are on their devices and headphones, others want to disconnect from technology for a while.

When you’re in a mindful state, you can hear things that you might not have heard or recognized before. Mindful exercises can help give you that needed “detox” from the busy sounds in life, in favor of checking in with your thoughts and feelings.

3) The power of focusing  👀

Instead of trying to multi-task in your work, try to take things one step at a time. If it helps, write down a to-do list. It can be tempting to return to multi-tasking, as single-tasking takes some time to learn, but it will massively help with productivity once you do.

When you’re done with one task, take a short break (and maybe meditate) before moving on to the next task. It’s best to have a clear mind right before you switch gears.

4) The power of practice 📅

Now is the time to hold yourself accountable for your words and actions. With mindfulness, you’re able to get a clear view of you, as a person. Commit to meditating every once in a while, to make life easy.

5) The power of adapting  🏃

“It’s okay to have feelings of uncertainty,” says Claire Baylebridge, a lifestyle blogger at Lia Help. “However, you shouldn’t allow uncertainties to rule over you. That’s why it’s important to be able to adapt to new situations for you and your business, even at a late notice. With mindfulness, you can learn skills that help you grow more adaptable to life’s changes. In this way, you can be ready for anything.”

6) The power of example ❤️

The final thing to remember is to spread the love, if it worked for you. People learn from other people. Similarly, those who practice mindfulness on a daily basis are more than happy to show other people how that has helped them. And, chances are, others who hear about mindfulness might want to try these practices themselves. This chain of mindfulness starts with you - you can truly make a different and help others out!

So can mindfulness help you and your business grow? 🙌

Practicing mindfulness comes with a multitude of benefits. As you take into account these 6 tips, you’ll start to feel better and better over time. Results may take some time to show up, but the wait is worth it.

By implementing mindfulness, you can stay focused on the important things in life, like your business.

So, take the time to stop, breathe, and reflect. Integrate mindfulness into your daily routine(s) – personal and professional - and enjoy the growth!

Thanks for the insights! 🌈
